Dorset Schools Table Tennis Reaches New Heights

This Year ESTTA, in partnership with Active Dorset and the School Games Organisers, delivered a banquet of Table Tennis opportunities for young players around the county. Over 250 pupils took part in this table tennis bonanza!

The first event, a Primary Festival at Harewood College, Bournemouth saw 95 young players, 50 boys and 45 girls come together for some skills development in the morning, followed by some FUN match play in the afternoon.

Matt Ware Head Coach of Dorset TTA commented, "It was fantastic to see so many new players enjoying table tennis for the first time. It is really exciting for Dorset and the Academy to have such a wide pool of players keen to play more table tennis!"

That evening, Budmouth College, Weymouth hosted the Girls U13s and 16s Event with a number of schools trekking down from Bournemouth to take part.

Last week then saw the U13s and U16s Boys competing at the Grange School Christchurch, home of the Dorset Table Tennis Centre on the Wednesday with Bournemouth and Poole College hosting the U19s event on the Thursday.

The Dorset Champions for 2015/2016 Season are as follows:

U19s Budmouth Boys

U16 Bournemouth School for Girls

U16 Bournemouth School for Boys

U13 Bournemouth School for Girls

U13 Grange School Boys

U11 Park School Girls

U11 Park School Boys

Many thanks to all Teachers, SGOs, Active Dorset, Young Leaders and tireless volunteers who made these events possible.

Now the training starts in preparation for Plymouth! Devon WE ARE COMING!
