Working Together to Reduce Childhood Obesity
Posted: Tue, 20 Jun 2017 14:09
The National Children's Bureau has recently released a new report to help agencies understand how they can work together to reduce childhood obesity and improve health outcomes. By exploring promising local work in the context of national policy, the document supports schools, early years' settings, local authorities, voluntary organisations and others to plan and deliver effective joined-up initiatives to tackle obesity.
The document brings together information from a range of sources and showcases examples of local programmes and interventions that support children in early years settings or primary education to be healthy and physically active, particularly those benefiting children who experience health disadvantages and those living in areas of deprivation.
