On 16th November, Tracey Crouch, Sports Minister, announced at DCMS that she has secured ministerial agreement to change the law on positions of trust to include sports coaches.

The second Active Lives Adult Report summarising activity levels in England from May 2016 to May 2017 has revealed that 24.5% of the Dorset population are inactive, a slightly improved figure compared to the England average (25.6%).
